What it is
The Grass League is the world's first franchise-based pro/am golf league played on lit, par-3 courses — collapsing 18-hole patience into format that's faster, louder, and built for camera. Eleven city-branded teams compete across a multi-event 2026 season for cash purses exceeding $100K, broadcast on Golf Channel.
It started as one tournament — the 2019 Grass Clippings Open — and turned into a league after a $2.75M raise in 2025. Founded by Jake & Jimmy Hoselton with Pete Wilson and Connor Riley, the league lives at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, Arizona — the home venue and parent brand.

108 two-person teams played a one-day scramble at Rolling Hills. Top 25 advanced to the franchise draft the next morning. Each of the 11 teams added two two-person duos to their roster.
